Hospitality in Amsterdam
Het Amsterdamse Proeflokaal & House of Hospitality
Tourism is experiencing a major boom in Amsterdam. More and more people are visiting the Netherlands’ capital and as a result the hospitality industry is growing and changing. That is why we teamed up with about 30 other parties to combine our strengths in House of Hospitality. A partnership between businesses, vocational schools and local government aimed at raising the quality of hospitality in Amsterdam.
Training location for ROC students
The focus of House of Hospitality is education. We want to create a better connection between vocational training and the job market. What better place than where they will be working? Het Amsterdamse Proeflokaal plays an important part in this. We will be the new training location for ROC Amsterdam students. Five days a week, we will be providing students studying to become waiters or chefs with theoretical and practical training.
Hospitality is a profession
Hospitality is a profession. A profession that requires specific skills and abilities. Above all, it requires professional guidance. That is why we cannot wait to train the new generation of hospitality talents in-house. Together we will make Amsterdam’s hospitality even better. We are working together with five renowned educational institutions to achieve this goal: Brasserie Paardenburg, Restaurant Stedelijk, Restaurant DAK (part of NEMO), the A’DAM Toren and The Lobby Amsterdam.
